YOGA: Desi Springer
Desi Springer is blessed to have found yoga, her heart’s passion, when she was 23. She received her first certification with Bikram Choudhry in 2000. In the years since, she has continued her yogic education with local and national senior Anusara instructors, accruing many hours of study. She is honored to call Micah Springer, Maria Patella, Madhuri Martin, Desiree Rumbagh, and John Friend her teachers. She is Anusara inspired, and is immensely grateful to John Friend for his 5 universal principles of alignment. Desi sees the optimal potential in all of her students and continually encourages them to breathe deeply at their edge. She finds yoga is a tool that helps us unearth the truths that lie within. Desi will invite your bigger self into being, and encourage you to practice compassion as you grow.

As a result of her love of the practice, in 1999 Desi and her sister opened their first studio in the Denver area. Now they co-own and operate 3 studio locations called Vital Yoga. Vital Yoga celebrates union, creating holistic wellness through the integration of body and mind, and the provision of refined yoga instruction for it’s patrons. By witnessing the greater truth, we foster environments where challenges are transformed into opportunities and other is transformed into Self. Focusing on the evolution of the individual, Vital Yoga Studios enhance and contribute to the greater community. Desi looks forward to seeing you on the mat. More info at www.vitalyoga.org

YOGA: Richi Jai
With love and respect Richii Jai is teaching yoga asana as a healing medium and point of entry for us all to realign with our higher selves. He is here to create a space that brings remembrance of our true nature and sense of connectivity to a far reaching past and future. Gentle strength and a playful vibration can allow power yoga to act as a healing medium.Richii Jai has an extensive background in nutrition, athletics, vibrational healing, and public service. Richii Jai has been told that his classes are fun, and inspiring. Two of the greatest joys of teaching yoga are when a student finds success with their practice and when they say he’s their favorite teacher. When not in the studio, Richii Jai is dancing, making art, walking around the forest and reading the words of the great teachers and saints. His young son is his favorite teacher.

MUSIC: Dakini Ma

Dakini began singing and dancing when she was six and became a professional modern/ballet dancer at the age of 17. As a young child, some of her fondest memories were music night with her mother, the woman who taught her to sing. Through these artistic expressions Dakini found her own meaning to life: art. To Dakini, music and yoga bring love, peace, inner light, and hope. Dakini now lives, plays and practices in Colorado. Not only is she a musician but you can also find her guiding yoga classes for her studio, CorePower yoga in Stapleton. She had the amazing opportunity to work for CorePower for five years and within that time dreamt of owning her own studio. This dream was realized with the opening of the Stapleton studio, which is known for both the spiritual yogic path as well as having live music in classes. It is her intention to create an environment in which each practitioner feels supported in his/her yogic journey with not only movement but sound. Currently she is working on her first Kirtan CD as well as being the lead singer for a rock band. In the end, her music and her yoga are about the Bhakti path of love. She honors this path by singing to the Divine and recognizing her teacher Jai Uttal whom she studying from at Kirtan College in 2009. The amazing beauty in people inspires her especially when she sees the tremendous courage it takes to walk on this path of self-discovery. Hari Om.

"Walk the Talk Show" with Waylon Lewis
Walk the Talk Show with Waylon Lewis (of elephant journal fame) is fun, yet fundamentally serious. They aim to be "The Daily Show of Mindfulness," spreading the good news beyond the choir to those who weren't sure they gave a care. Their videos are featured on 20+ sites. Waylon will be interviewing Chanda Hinton of the Chanda Plan Foundation and another surprise guest to explore the medical system's coverage (or lack thereof) of alternative therapies.

WTTS has interviewed Deepak Chopra, Michael Pollan, Seane Corn, Richard Freeman, Amy Goodman, Alice Walker, Robert Thurman and Dr. Andrew Weil. Basically, WTTS aims to make the "mindful life" accessible and fun, all while keepin' it real. They ask tough questions where appropriate, but are mostly about having fun and spreading the good word regarding great causes.

MUSIC: Mountain Trance
It’s been called “Regressive TechnoBilly Bluegrass Funk” and “HypnoBilly TranceGrass”… and it is an odd mix of old time banjo and fiddle with electronica dance beats, plus some didgeridoo and African drums. What comes out is fun and lively dance music that mixes the traditional and technological in new and bizarre ways. It’s like an old barn dance gone 21st Century techno-Americana -- going from modal mountain melodies to trancy grooves to bluegrass harmonies “all on the blink of a dream”. More info at www.myspace.com/mountaintrance

MUSIC: Nabin Shrestha
Throughout my early childhood, music has always been an essential part of my life and “Tabla” is the medium by which I was introduced to the world of music and rhythm. In combination with the guidance of my guru Shree Rabin Lal Shrestha and truly inspired by my brother Rajendra Shrestha, I began learning tabla at the age of (9) nine years old. To this day, I still view myself as a continuing student in an ever expanding exploration of the beauty in musically interpreting dynamic rhythmic sounds while performing the Tabla. MUSIC: Vamadeva Kirtan
Singing Kirtan has been a lifelong journey. I first chanted Kirtan at an ashram on Long Island, New York, in 1972. Sixteen years old, I followed along with no written words, picking up the chants by ear. It was completely weird. Yet, after a while, merging with the flow of the songs and the one flow of the group, I suddenly felt home—doing the right thing, something familiar and completely satisfying. I began to sink into a peace I had never felt before. More info at www.vamadevakirtan.com
YOGA: Laura Jaster

Laura believes yoga can encourage a deeper understanding of our place in the world and with each other. She approaches each class as an inquiry into the realm of spirit, and enjoys connecting with her students. More info at www.spiralwellness.com
