“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”

Jan Pratt
Event Director Colorado Springs
Yoga Rocks the Park is excited to have Jan Pratt join the team and bring YRP to Colorado Springs for the 2015 season. Jan has been a "yogi in
training" for the past 25 years and has found that yoga was a great
complement to gymnastic, dance and hiking and that a yoga mat could travel
anywhere! She has been fortunate enough to train at yoga ashrams in both Austria and Germany. She is 200 RYA trained,
trained in Accessible Yoga ,Karma Kids yoga and prenatal yoga.
Jan has also been passionate about children for most of her life. While having 4 children of her own, she has also owned a preschool, been a children's librarian and currently is employed in District 11 schools.

"My favorite thing about Yoga Rocks the Park is that it's the opposite of the world view we see on CNN. Most people want to see peace on earth but don't know how to create it. YRP is a little slice of enlightened community shared under open sky in cities across the U.S. each week. Adults and their children all join together to create a peaceful experience and bring that energy out into the world. Ghandi said, 'Be the change you want to see in the world.' Well, show up, share your smile and create an enlightened world by working on your own path and assisting others on theirs. I pray YRP is a gateway for people to find their teacher and Sangha as they head towards the removal of suffering and the increase in peace. May all beings be happy, peaceful and at ease!"

This is Giselle’s first year as Event Director for the San Diego area. In 2014, she attended her first YRP event and enjoyed connecting with others while reconnecting with her love for yoga. YRP gives San Diegans the opportunity to take their yoga practice outdoors, enjoy the beautiful Southern California climate, and support our community of local businesses. Giselle is looking forward to continuing to share the YRP experience with the San Diego community. Contact Giselle here.
"We see Yoga Rocks the Park Asheville as a vehicle for collaboration and synergy in our community. Although we practice different styles, look and sound differently, inherently we are all one. YRP Asheville is an opportunity to celebrate and connect heart-to-heart as a community through nature inspired yoga & music. We are thrilled to be bringing YRP to such a vibrant and talented city." - JP & Cassie McClellan, Asheville YRP Event Directors.

Erica Hill - Erica first experienced Yoga Rocks the Park in Denver a few years
ago. She found it to be a glorious way to
reconnect, recharge, and revel in the beauty of the great outdoors with
hundreds of other yogis. The music and
sense of community kept her coming back year after year.
In 2015, Erica moved back home to Utah and is thrilled to bring Yoga Rocks the
Park with her. “I know that Salt Lake City will be a
magnificent back drop to practice yoga outdoors. Yoga Rocks the Park is an incredible way to
sample different teacher styles and music while connecting with fellow yogis
from all over the City. I am thrilled to
share this fantastic summer tradition in my home state. YRP is ideal for beginners and experienced
yogis alike. It’s also a wonderful way
for families to spend their Sunday morning together because we offer a class
for children at the same time. I can’t
wait to see everyone at the park this summer!”

Wayne and Will, along with taking on the position of Event Directors of YRP Phoenix, are also the new owners of Yoga Rocks the Park/Friday Night Yoga Club. They took over the leadership in March of 2015 with the vision of keeping YRP on a steady path of continued grow by creating Conscious CommUnity thru the practice of yoga at a local level. They both became involved in the yoga world when they both were asked to oversee the construction and design of Spirit of Yoga, the yoga studio for Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. Wayne continued as the facilities manager for the studio and has been active in managing the yoga business for the last four years while Will went through the 800 hour Yoga Teacher Training and became a yoga teacher. Their concentration is building “comUnity” yoga by welcoming all students and offering them an authentic expression of yoga with a transformational approach, honoring a diversity of practices and belief systems.
